Vitiligo: its Causes and Natural Remedies

Vitiligo, also known as leukoderma, is a degenerative disease of the skin, where melanocytes, pigment cells responsible for skin, they die, leaving to produce melanin (a substance that discolors the skin) in the area where death occurred cell.

How does it manifest?

The skin takes on a look with light spots (where there is no production of melanin) that contrast with the original color of the skin. These spots are usually more circular areas with defined edges and a variable length, which, to leave together, can be taken indefinitely. Usually seen more frequently in the extremities (hands and feet), and the areas of extension and flexion as elbows and knees. In some cases, on the face and genitals.

Disease characteristics

Vitiligo is not contagious and, while not a serious disease, if unleashed in a conflict who suffers PicoLog the unsightly character that takes the skin, especially in people with dark skin. It affects men and women’s webcam. The hairs that cover the affected areas are albino (white).

Why the difference?

Science, as in many other diseases, unknown what causes leukoderma, however, has found some relationships that could provoke such as:

• immunological disorders: is caused by immunological disorders, where due to some disorder in the defenses, the body creates antibodies against melanin-producing cells.
• Hereditary causes: it is believed that could be inherited, although it is highly unlikely because very few patients have family history in a similar case.
• autonomic: it is believed that certain substances used by the brain to exchange information (neurotransmitters) alter the production of melanin producing cells.
• Malfunction of the thyroid gland.
• Stress.
• Hormonal changes.
• Injuries.
• underlying disorder other diseases such as pernicious anemia, Addison’s disease or diabetes mellitus

Conventional remedies:

Treatments for skin repigment until now has very inconstant, difficult and very particular, depending on each case. The most common therapies aim to restore the affected skin pigment exposed to ultraviolet radiation, others are based on medicines that promote the generation of melanin (corticosteroids and psoralen). Some others destroy the pigment in surrounding areas to decrease the contrast between affected and healthy skin. In some cases is used skin grafts.

Recommendations and Natural Remedies:

• Take one capsule of evening primrose oil in concentrations of 500 mg soft gelatin capsule which can be purchased at pharmacies botanical
• Avoid stress, criticism and disapproval against oneself, as it is an emotional factor that triggers the disease.
• Wear sunscreen to prevent skin pigment with exposure damage. Use a high factor sunscreen, long sleeved clothing and a hat, and rubbed cream or Aloe Vera gel to protect skin.

Eradicate the disease from the root:

I believe that as much as a deficient immune system, and the deficiency of neurotransmitters in the brain that might be the cause of the disease, have their root causes in an emotional imbalance by someone who has the disease. No doubt the emotions remain the root of where all complaints are generated. In this case, the vitiligo is deeply rooted in an individual experiencing a frequent feeling of not belonging, that is, who feels left behind, not included, out of a group or not taken into account. It has the feeling of “not there”, of “not being seen”, to “disappear”.

This really creates stress and a strong inner anxiety that the body can translate in many ways. So, before seeking remedies from all sides, who suffers should internalize vitiligo first in what he feels and what he thinks about his life and the integration it has with it. If you have feelings of isolation, misunderstanding, if you often feel excluded, we must begin to reconsider your life and regain a creative, self-worth so that your back to make you feel included in your personal world, and what you do in your life cause you so much joy and satisfaction that makes you feel important part everything with you relate.
