This plant, a cactus, it might be a good remedy for weight loss, and providing in the near future, part of the diet of obese people.

The Hoodia cactus is called, and apparently contains a molecule that can be estimated up to 100,000 times more powerful than glucose at the time of sending a signal of satiety to the brain. In other words, not hungry.

The anti-obesity supplement is known as P57, and is cultivated hoodia extract according to the Business Report in the Kalahari Desert. These tribes of southern Africa, the hoodia used for generations in order to eliminate hunger when food is scarce or when hunting.

Pharmaceutical companies are looking for a chemical solution to the problem to win a fabulous market. At the initiative of Unilever hoodia (P57) it will follow others. The French firm Sanofi has recently publicized clinical outcomes of their product: Rimonabant, helping patients lose weight significantly, and even removing smoking.
